That was the first thing to come out of Asteria’s mouth as something — or someone landed on her. She let out an annoyed groan.

“Could you not?” 

Eep pushed herself up onto her elbows, staring down at the thing that was now under her. She couldn’t help but let out a yelp as it actually spoke.

“You can talk!” She said rather excitedly. Was it just like her? It surely didn’t seem so similar.

Eep laughed hysterically, as if she heard another one of Guy’s jokes. She was having the best of times swinging around the trees the family had recently stopped by. Whether she had swung too far, or her hands were slippery, she overshot the next branch she was aiming for, landing hard onto something…or rather someone.

“Ow…” She groaned, wondering how she could have messed that up.

Eep is more or less afraid of the dark. Possibly even more than she hates it.
